Day in Baton Rouge with the Girls- Pre Babies

Me...after walking around in BR all day. Well not really, that's one thing about being pregnant at the same time. We all wore out at the same time too! :)

Me Court and Shawanda

We are in order....biggest, bigger, and big...lol (their words)

I got to meet up with Courtney and Shawanda....who I happened to grow up in the same youth group, and who just so happen to be pregnant at the same time. Due: Me-Dec. Courtney-Jan. Shawanda-Feb, so we are right after one another. Sam and I went to the Mall in Baton Rogue since it would be the half-way mark for Courtney and I, Shawanda lives in BR. It was fun to see them again and share our pregnancy woes...lol It's really neat that all three of us are gonna be running around with our own little ones soon! So we exchanged gifts, and took a few pictures. Of course I am the largest....lol

Living Room- Done with the House...whoo hoo!

These are backwards, but you'll get the drift. The first ones are the finished project. The before will follow after that. This is the final (Thank the Lord!) project in the Stegall household before big day.

New Flooring/Runner since Sugar cannot walk on the new floors very well...lol poor thing!

New Area Rug Sam decided on.

So Glad we are finished!!

Still not sure what is up with the little round things. I have cleaned my camera lens, still to no avail at getting rid of those things. Don't understand....

Front door area rug.

Sam laying the flooring. He had some great help, thanks to Will!

Sam rolling the floors with primer.

Old floors all covered now, ready to lay the new in a little bit.

Our house has been a mess!

Sam the Repairman!

Old Flooring... loved the real pine wood.. the dark pine showed so much dirt though, and the floors were buckling, we had to repair them.

Moisture and climate protecting.

Underneath the house, after Sam cut out the seriously buckled parts, to repair to put the new subfloor down.

After Sam put the repaired parts in.

and Goodwill for all....

Oh... I also have to blog about the funny little thing that happened today. In all of our activities that have been going on, I think Sam must have had a slight lapse of insanity. All that work and no rest will do that to you. He really has been working hard on the house, and has done such a great job. I just wish I could help more than I can right now. Well to my story...As we were getting Abigail's room set up this evening Sam suddenly remembered something from earlier today. I guess it was about the time I was looking at all the cute little shoes that we got for the baby when his memory was jogged. "Uh OH," he said. I brought a huge bag of shoes to the Goodwill today. "Oh really, ha, ha". I thought he was joking. No he wasn't joking he really did bring a bag full of shoes to the Goodwill today. I had a ton of garbage bags full of things to bring to the Goodwill this morning, clothes and such. We have also been living out of our living room during this remodel. Well needless to say I had a rubbermaid container with about 6 pairs of shoes in it that could fit in there, in shoeboxes, while every other pair of shoes I own were in a garbage bag, waiting to be put back in my closet after carpet was installed. The shoes weren't even near the other bags, but he thought the bag was supposed to go to Goodwill as well. We went by there this evening but they were lost in the abyss of Goodwill things probably never to be seen by me again. Alas it was too late. I did happen to find one pair of shoes that were mine, but all other pairs are lost forever. *sigh* oh well.... guess this is what kids do to ya. :)

Baby Room!! Yay

I'm sure there is still much left to do, but this is what we got done today. At least now we can see some progress.

Letters/Stool that Grammie made! Pink curtains Daddy picked out.

Crib, all set up.

This is the crib bumper that we got. There really is just a smorgasbord of colors in the bedroom. I think I like it much better that way. Of course the reigning theme color does happen to be PINK!

Here is a blanket Maw Maw made, and a bear from Misty that plays sounds.

The little seahorse like Maia has in the crib.

Corner shot of the room.

Still getting things organized.

The stool Grammie made.

We ended up getting this cube organizer thing today, because we could not decide what we were going to do. We have a dresser that is too bulky, and I wasn't really sure about this thing, but once we got it home and got it together it really works great! We can always go back and get the other one like it if we need to. This room is so small, and the cube organizer is very efficient, and doesn't take up very much space!

The crib, the personalized bag with Abigail Ruth on it, from Sheri @ work. And the Bouncer from Aunt Debra.

Cube organizer before we stuffed it full.

Sam and I posing in the room.

Patiently waiting.....

Guest Room/Sam's New Office

Sitting down for once this week...lol Finally "his" room is done too. :)

He picked out the curtains for the rooms, they all look great.

The baby's new room was Sam's old office so now here's his new one.

Master Bedroom...Redone!

New Carpet, New Curtains, New Headboard!

We just need to find a dust ruffle that matches...this will do for now.
