Who am I feeding?

A Cherokee Legend
An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life. "A fight is going on inside me," he said to the boy.

"It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego." He continued, "The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you - and inside every other person, too."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Grandfather, which wolf will win?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

Job 5:2 For wrath killeth the foolish man, and envy slayeth the silly one.

Romans 1:29-32 "And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them."

God won't contend with man always, but we can see here that eventually he will give us over to a reprobate mind, he will give us over to what we desire if we refuse to be obedient to him. We must feed the Spirit of God that dwells within us, and do what pleases Him regardless of what we feel like doing. Be renewed in the Holy Ghost daily through repentance, prayer and the Word, so that your faith will grow in Him.

Tit 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Am I feeding the Spirit or my flesh?

Winter 2011- Almost 8 Weeks Old

It has been cold a nasty here in CENLA these past few days, so we've just been staying inside keeping warm mostly. Aunt Tammy and Uncle Tim sent Abby some sweater dresses and tights, that are just too cute. We went to church last night and put her in one of the outfits they got her. The hat looks handmade, it's a little too small, but it is too cute!! She was not at all happy about us waking her up to get her dressed for church. LOL She finally calmed down and we got a few pictures.

A little calmer.

My chubby faced girl.

Kind of smiling :)

Ready for church in the dress Daddy bought her.

I told him to get her the "Mom Rocks" dress but noo...he got this one. lol
